This seems to be an issue with mobile WebKit, since it works on an Samsung A8 with Samsung Internet
screenshot of site on samsung internet
and a friend confirmed it works on a Redmi Note 5 phone with Chrome.

I've identified it's an issue with iOS Webkit. if you have any help other than this, please share.

Seems related to my old iOS (10.2, but not too sure), since it works on an iPad with iOS 12.2 :

For now, your version of Webkit is deprecated, which also means it will appear like that in Internet Explorer. Back to the point. Due to its age, it can't render some websites, and some common modern web techniques. I do not have a fix for this, however you can use this as a basis.

Removing "critical" label, since that doesn't seem to affect people.
