Error using GitHub MCP Server 'create_issue' tool #720

Describe the bug
When I try to use the GitHub MCP Server create_issue tool I get this error:

MCP error -32603: Not Found: Resource not found: Not Found.

I tried to create an issue using both Cursor and the MCP Inspector.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. I run the this command: shellnpx @modelcontextprotocol/inspector npx -y @modelcontextprotocol/server-github env GITHUB_PERSONAL_ACCESS_TOKEN=token-here

  2. Connect, List Tools, enter the owner, repo, title, and body and click Run Tool.

Expected behavior
It should create the issue.

Logs
MCP error -32603: Not Found: Resource not found: Not Found.
