Mobile Era begins tomorrow

Tomorrow Mobile Era will start for the first time and it’ll be a blast!

We have sold out on tickets, sponsor stands and we’ll fill up the venue! Tomorrow at 8 AM
the doors will open, be there early to grab a coffee before the keynote!

If you need to find a lunch-buddy, or would just like to discuss talks you can join our Slack. This is also the best place to be if you’d
like to help shape the future of Mobile Era.

We now have apps available for both Android and iOS (thanks to our sponsor Computas) that
allow you to favorite your talks and have them accessible on-the-go:

Download for iOS Download for Android

We’d also like to remind everyone that there is a community evening at Teknologihuset
tonight at 17:30. We will have three speakers from the conference - Viraj Tank, Vitaly Friedman
and Istvan “Flaki” Szmozsánszky. Make sure to register your attendence on Meetup. We will also raffle the FINAL TICKET
to Mobile Era during the event, so if you don’t yet have a ticket. Now is your chance!

For the conference itself, we will have a contest for best picture on Twitter.
Just tweet a photo from the conference to @mobileeraconf to take part. The winner will get a free ticket to Mobile Era 2017!

See you at the conference!

Friday is also the end date for the ticket sales for Mobile Era workshop. We have a great set of workshops and hope that many of our participants would like to make use of this opportunity:

Scholarship Programme

Mobile Era is a conference organized by and for the community, and it’s important to us that all members of the community should be included, also those who would normally be unable to attend for financial reasons. We’re very happy to be able to offer The Scholarship Programme (inspired by the one from
Web Rebels Conference) to offer financial aid to people from underrepresented groups wanting to attend the conference.

Eligibility

Scholarships are primarily intended to assist people from groups traditionally underrepresented in the local developer community, including women, people of non-Scandinavian descent and people with disabilities. However, we wouldn’t presume to be able to provide a complete list of underrepresented groups, so all applications will be considered. Eligibility ultimately depends on the discretion of the selection committee. PLEASE NOTE: for students we have a separate program with extremely cheap tickets.

Selection

All applications will be reviewed by the selection committee, and will be accepted at their discretion, although selection will primarily favor diversity concerns and financial need. All information provided to the committee will be kept strictly confidential.

Award

Selected applicants will receive a fully paid ticket for the conference.

How do I apply?

Just fill in the form. Submission is open until October 20th.

Scholarship Programme Application

All applicants will be notified via email by October 22th. If your application is accepted, you will receive your conference registration details and other relevant information along with the notification.

Any questions?

We are looking for lightning talks

Mobile Era is now looking for further Lightning Talk Submissions, and we are accepting applicants until Monday, October the 10th. Accepted lightning talk candidates will receive a free ticket for the conference (in the event that you have already purchased a ticket, you can bring a friend for free instead).

Lightning Talks will be 10 minutes long. The requirement is that you send the slideshow to us (in either PPTX, PDF or Keynote format) two days in advance (October 31st). We will provide a computer with the talk available. This is to avoid technical difficulties of switching computers between the presentations.
