not work

I followed the explanation and built the project successfully, but after I applied the new mod in the game ,it didn't work ,the npc i created still walks the same as original.
afterwards i bulid again ,the exception is "Deprecated Gradle features were used in this build, making it incompatible with Gradle 5.0." i used "forge-1.12.2-14.23.5.2859-mdk" and the gradle wrapper has gradle 4.9, i also used jdk 8, so how to solve it?
after many trys,i found some incorrect points, and worked succfully after correcting.
