Project Governance

Project Overview

Ply is developed and maintained by MLabs.

Maintainer

Primary Maintainer: Chase Maity (@totallynotchase)

  • Timezone: MDT
  • Availability: Best response times on Saturday, Sunday

Contribution Guidelines

How to Contribute

  1. Issues: Feel free to open issues for bugs, feature requests, or questions
  2. Pull Requests: Small improvements and bug fixes are welcome
  3. Discussions: Use GitHub Discussions for general questions and ideas

Contribution Process

  1. Fork the repository
  2. Create a feature branch
  3. Make your changes with clear commit messages
  4. Submit a pull request with description of changes
  5. I'll review and provide feedback within 1-3 days

Decision Making

As the sole maintainer, I make all final decisions regarding:

  • Feature additions and removals
  • Architecture changes
  • Code quality standards

However, MLabs may make final decisions on:

  • Release schedules

Community Input

While I have final say, I value community input:

  • Major changes will be announced via GitHub Discussions
  • Breaking changes will have advance notice when possible
  • Feature requests are considered based on project goals

  • General Discussion: GitHub Discussions
  • Direct Contact: chase@mlabs.city for security issues or private matters

Project Goals

Ply aims to make it possible for seamless integration of onchain Plutus scripts and offchain backends.

Response Times

I aim to respond to:

  • Security issues: Within 24 hours
  • Bug reports: Within 3-5 days
  • Feature requests: Within 1 week
  • Pull requests: Within 1 week

Project Status

This is a stable project and development happens only when needed.

Currently, no new features are scheduled but there are plans!

This governance document may evolve as the project grows. Major changes will be announced in advance.
