I don't always want to share my whole screen for privacy reasons. Also as an ultra-widescreen user, it's ofte better for viewers to be seeing a smaller region.
Would also help the experience for folks not using ultrawidescreen monitors with those that do.
Originally I didn't want to deal with this, but after Bananas got so much traction and it still seems to be used by some peeps, I hope I can dedicate some time to it again.
I'm still not sure on how to implement this (per window is the easier one, even if that is "hard", when we want the remote cursors to still work), but per region could get me into trouble.
Anyway, I changed my mind and I think that's a great addition.
For priority, I think it's not coming anytime soon, because I think that mistweaverco.com/roadmap has some topics (regarding bananas) that are "way more important", like hot seats / swapping of host client, multiple peers interconnected, Bonjour service..
