Addition of read list (ordered group of manga) #1863
Comments
It also appears in many manga, so it would be a great addition. |
I need some UI mockups and details explanation on how you expect stuff to work |
Read list should be added like this in library, I'm guessing. The read list acts like it's a series with all the category combined in the list when it comes to shown in the library. (ex: If the list contains series with category A, and other series with category B, the list should appeared for both category A and B.) Series might have 'Add to read list' button in overflow menu - and also there should be a menu for it when (multi-)selected in the library. Basic mock-up of read list UI. Example of overflow menu. Name might be also changed by tap-holding the list name, and color might be also changed by tapping cover image. Maybe like this. Tapping on those 'Book1' button will link use to desired series. Series inside the list should have those arrows to navigate to the series before/after - swiping to the left/right might be work, too. While reading book, it works just like chapter - viewing 'next page' inside the last chapter of the series should lead user to the first page of the next series inside the list, and 'previous page' of the first chapter should lead user to the last page of the previous series inside the list. |
Hmm yeah I suppose it's doable |
I was about to open an issue about this but we share the same idea |
Describe your suggested feature
In some cases in doujin/manga, there's a chance volumes are separated into separated 'book' or entity in library (not as separated capter).
One can download those volumes and rearrange file structure to make those volumes into chapters, but it is quite tidious and requires storage spaces.
I purpose a 'read list' - which can group those volumes into one so that one can read volume after volume easily.
Other details
It would be nice for it to work like chapters.
Maybe those read group can be work as 'folder' in library.
