No initial response from agent.

I was wondering if anyone else has run into this issue while testing their agent. Very often after a specific tool call I don't get an initial reply from my agent. After I initialize the conversation again it does reply with the information that was requested. Looking at the traces and tool calls it has received the proper information but it can't seem to respond.

Has anyone else ran into this issue and is there a specific course of action I can take to improve performance?

The likely issue is that the agent may be responding with a tool approval request (which an older version of devui did not render properly .. leading to the empty message you see as that message was not rendered properly previously). Can you confirm if you agent had tool approvals etc or even better if you can share an mvp reproducible sample of the code that causes this, that would be helpful.

In the mean time, the solution is to first ensure you have the latest version of devui (you can try pip install -U agent-framework-devui. Once you share some code, we will try to reproduce and add additional fixes.

@victordibia Sorry for wasting your time I already found the cause of the issue. The LLM in Azure AI Foundry reached the Rate Limit. After increasing the RPM the issue resolved itself. Thanks for being willing to help however really appreciate it.
