Allow copying result to clipboard using a keybind,
This isn't not portable across OS's but this could be added with a compilation flag specifically for Linux.

If I am not mistaken, there is a terminal control sequence to put things in the clipboard. I think it's OSC 52. I think it would be the most portable way.

For other way, like running xclip, I think it would make more sense to have a "run command" option, it would give more flexibility.

Never heard of OSC 52, although interesting, most terminals don't actually support it.
