When waking from standby, smuxi acts as if still connected, reconnects after ~3 minutes

This is quite annoying. When my machine wakes from standby, smuxi seems to still be connected.

I can still send messages to channels and they look like they are sending successfully. I need to execute some IRC command that requires server callback or wait ~3 minutes for smuxi to realize it needs to reconnect.
