Import transactions before account creation date

Hello,
like the title said, I am trying to import transactions from my account. Since the transactions are from last year, the app will not imporet them because they are from before opening a account in ezbookkeeping. How can I change that?

If you set the account balance when creating an account, ezBookkeeping will require you to specify the effective date of that balance. You cannot create transactions earlier than this date, because any new transaction would change the originally defined balance.

ezBookkeeping adjusts account balances by creating a balance modification transaction. You can delete this transaction at any time, which allows you to add earlier transactions.

Note that once the account is created, you cannot create additional balance modification transactions. To handle earlier balance scenarios, please create a standard expense or income transaction instead.

Well, actually, in you r answer lies part of the problem. When I create an account, there is no "date" that I can set up. Account type, name, even color, but no date. That is why I asked. Basically, every time upon creating the account, that date of creation is the earliest date, which is not much convenient, in my opinion.
The rest of what you said does makes sense. However, everything depends on the creation date. Even later on, if I want to change the "date of origin" that could be an option. Provided that I add extra transaction accordingly to make account in balance.

When creating an account in ezBookkeeping, if you do not set balance, it is no need to specify a date, and no balance modification transaction will be created. In this case, there will be no restrictions on the transaction date for this account.

Only when you enter the balance during account creation, a date selection will be displayed on the UI , and transaction creation will then be restricted based on that date.

I am trying to explain that, when I, during a creation of an account, want to set the balance, I am not getting the choice for dates nor do I have any option to select the date. Maybe If I delete the whole database and start again?

I think there are two issues in this discussion

1. The issue you mentioned about being unable to create transactions with earlier dates has already been addressed in my previous response. And, of course you can delete the database and start again.

2. The issue where setting the account balance during account creation does not display the date time selection box. If you can reproduce this problem, please record your screen and upload the video here.
