are composites "objects" or "object aggregates"?

From the playground discussion today:

• object aggregates are not "connected"
• so, the loose parts of the composite are an object aggregate
• but composites are somehow "glued", that connects them; so they can't be object aggregates
• so, the connected composite seems to be an object

We have to clearly define the level of granularity and/or perspective and then decide for the right class or adapt the definition.
