`authorization_code` flow without `torii`?

I see that torii is no longer supported and I'm curious if there's a recommended approach to implementing the authorization_code flow with ESA to replace it.

Torii was soft-deprecated by ESA due to the fact that it was lagging behind with Ember 3.28+ transition. It wasn't working in newer apps at some point and then was fixed in beta branches. And so it was "demoted" from a dependency to an optional dependency.
Yesterday Torii 1.0.0 was released and it seems like you can keep on using it in your apps.

That being said, as of yet ESA doesn't offer an alternative and there were only some experiments for that.
