G/S not capturing even when APP mode on

Heya

I was flying the 744 into EDDH and i had everything set correctly, the NAV/RAD etc, i had the LOC so i switched to APP mode so that once the white G/S turned gfreen it'd descend

But it remained on ALT HOLD and did not switch over, i tried vnav, and it didnt descend either.

Then i tried to handfly and disable the autopilot, but the autopilot remained in altitude hold although disengaged

This also happens to me which is weird
