Right now the plotting functionality performs standard plots without any kind of preprocessing beforehand.

As the data of the simulations will me in multiple files, we need some kind of preprocessing depending on how we want to do the plot.

Ask team what are their intentions regarding plotting.
Think about how to encode this preprocessing in the configuration file.
