Livebook and shortname nodes

Hi!

I'm trying to use Livebook and Nerves by connecting my local Livebook to a Node (on a Raspberry).

My problem is that Livebook errors with

11:40:23.606 [error] ** System NOT running to use fully qualified hostnames **
** Hostname nerves-1350.local is illegal **

I'm pretty new to this kind of stuff, and I don't understand how I could change the options in either the Livebook or the nerves applications to let them connect using short or long name

Just had to run livebook with

livebook server --name [email protected]

Is there any way to do the same from an already running livebook, like the desktop app version?

As far as I know, no. Maybe you could open up the app and change the env.sh files in the release?

I'm trying to apply this when using the livebook docker image but I'm noticing two things:

1. the livebook binary offers up start as opposed to server command.
2. --name xxxxx appears to be ignored when provided with livebook start

Any thoughts?

Docker is using release scripts, which is separate from the Livebook CLI. In Docker, you can use the env vars from the README, as well as the release ones: https://hexdocs.pm/mix/Mix.Tasks.Release.html#module-environment-variables - you want RELEASE_NAME and RELEASE_DISTRIBUTION.
