According to mintsources.conf there are

default=http://packages.linuxmint.com
base_default=http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu
mirrors=/usr/share/mint-mirrors/linuxmint.list
base_mirrors=/usr/share/python-apt/templates/Ubuntu.mirrors

could the change of base_mirrors (Ubuntu) please also be included? At the moment the script only selects a Mint-Mirror.

Will it be possible to add a simple command line switch to revert official-package-repositories.list back to default and base_default?

I don't understand the issue... the button to restore the settings restores both the base and the mint repo.

I think it's about the CLI tool mint-switch-to-local-mirror. Unfortunately there's no simple solution for the base mirrors anymore and a switch to include them would be very nice.
