Flight Price Tracking

Would be awesome to see an integration of price tracking for airline tickets within the transport tab. Unsure the feasibility of this, maybe better suited as a plugin than full feature, but I imagine a way to put the route desired and auto search for flights (similar to Google Flights or other travel portals) and select one or a few acceptable options and get alerted through trek notifications if price on these flights drops below a specified threshold.

And as far as I know there's no free Flight-Price API ( i already looked for one)

I think it should be native, since it is very useful feature for most of the travels that you plan. I would also like Deutsche Bahn prices monitoring, but it is local, and here I agree - it can be as plugin. I found this discussion on Reddit and Rapid API Search. From what they suggest, we can compile following list. All of them is Free Tier. Can be extended if user wants.

Also there is possibility to research unofficial implementation for companies, since they speak their own API on their websites. So, as far as I see, it needs to be deeper researched and from list above only Google Flights for prices since they the most stable data to support this feature. Since 20 req / month it is like nothing.

Cool discovery: developer.lufthansa.com It's an official, first-party airline API with two plans, both free of charge, and the restriction is on data scope, not request volume. It includes Fares/Availability and BestPrice Lowest Fares covering Lufthansa, Austrian, and Eurowings, with deep links.
