Tray pop up window (after right mouse click) is misplaced when changing the size of text, apps, and other items in Windows 11 Settings > Display

On Windows 11 if I change the settings to increase the size of text apps and other items from 100% to 125% or 150% the pop up menu window after right clicking the KVIrc icon on the task bar, tray options window is misplaced. It only works fine with 100% scale. This 100% scale makes everything tiny and very hard to read especially on high res 4k displays. I normally set it to either 125% on 1080p resolution monitors and to 150% on 4K monitors to make everything look bigger in Windows 11. However, after this setting change the KVIrc tray is misplaced after increasing this scale. Please fix this so that the KVIrc tray options pop up window also looks proper with the increased scale of text and icons setting under Settings > Display on Windows 11. I have KVirc installed on three different computers and the behavior is the same on all three with Windows 11 and different monitors.

This issue started happening after I updated to KVIrc 5.2.6. I do not remember which version I used before 5.2.6, but the pop up window wasn't misplaced on previous versions with increased scale size on Windows 11. I just know that it used to be fine on some previous KVIrc version 5.x.x

I remember something like this happening in the past.
Just to understand, the popup is always misplaced when item size is <> 100%, or only when the change is done and KVIrc is already running? i.e. if you start/restart KVirc after item size is changed to eg. 150%, is the popup placed correctly or not?

restarting computer, or kvirc doesn't help. the pop up remains misplaced after increasing the scale size in windows settings.

Also manage themes menu window is completely off when using 150% scale

I believe a good fix for the scaling is to right click on your shortcut for KVirc, go to compatibility, choose change settings for all users at the bottom, then choose Change High DPI Settings, then check Override High DPI Scaling Behavior, and set it to System (Enhanced), this should fix all the scaling issues with the app.

I just tried this set it to System (Enhanced) and it actually made it worse. So in my case this is not needed. Installing the latest nightly build actually resolves a lot of issues with scaling and tray icon on windows 11. This is the version I have installed now downloaded from the nightly builds and it works good KVIrc-5.2.8-dev-2025-12-08-git-7d431d3.exe . Just make sure you do not download the qt5 version which is for windows 7.

The releases from Dec 12th on have been updated significantly, they work much better.
