Task

  • Use the Foot layout more to work out the pain points that can be improved and how they can be solved.
  • Tune parameters to make it easier to use:
    • Useable bounds.
    • Minimum speed.
    • Acceleration.

Background

I've added a proof-of-concept foot gestureLayout. It works, but is hard to use.

There is potentially a use-case for people who don't have the use of their hands. But I don't want to invest time in developing this if it's not going to be used.

What I need from interested parties

  • Let me know that you want to use this. (Click the 👍 on this comment.)
  • Tell me in the comments (keep the tone positive):
    • about your use-case.
    • how you think handWavey could fullfill your use-case.
    • what gestures you need.
    • what would make it easier for you to use.
    • what strengths you have. Eg:
      • Can you move your ankle well?
      • Can you move your knee well?
    • what weaknesses you have. Eg:
      • Is one type of movement more painful than another?
      • Is there a type of movement that is more likely to cause injury than other? If so, what is better?
  • Add 👍 to comments that echo what would work well for you.

Also, if this has already made a difference for you. Please let me know.
