macOS support

Am I missing something or am I currently on my own and would have to implement macOS support myself?

I don't do much OSX development so didn't have time to implement it but the generic principle would work and I don't imagine this would require a huge amount of effort to add OSX version

Thanks @krzysztofzablocki for all your work! I would love to add macOS support, but as yet lack enough of an understanding of the project to be able to add it. I hope this will change and that I can find the time. :)
