Back button doesn't turn back to search button when using mouse button to go back

Describe the bug

When you click an app entry, the search button turns into a back button. When clicking it to go back, it turns back to the search button but when using the side button on the mouse instead, it doesn't. The selection options at the top also stay hidden. Here's a video to show what I mean:
