Linux Version?

As a user, I'd really like a Linux version (AppImage, Flatpak, native package as .deb/.rpm/.tgz whatever works).

Maybe possible after #135 ?

Putting this here just as a to-do item, if its okay with you @kmcclive. Maybe we can discuss if its a good issue, and if so, which packages we should target.

I'm thinking of working on this during the holidays.

That's okay with me @palaashatri. Do you have an approach in mind? Linux is not supported with Xamarin Forms, the current framework, or even .NET MAUI. React Native doesn't support it either. The only potential solution I found is using React Native Skia, but this issue seems to indicate the project is dead.

@karmakarmeghdip Avalonia UI would work. I was merely discussing the other options that are in development. The primary reason that I decided against it previously is because it doesn't use native controls. I also hadn't received any requests for Linux at the time. 😆

Ah sorry, I didn't know that React Native doesn't natively support Linux (kind of expected, but yeah, my brainfart).

Maybe we could think of Flutter (like how Canonical is trying with some of their Ubuntu apps), or something Qt/GTK based (but I'm assuming that might bring C++ headaches).
