When I make the led state flip at the frequency of 2hz in the code, the time measured by the oscilloscope probe is accurate 500ms, but it is about 600ms in Var Viewer.

Hello, Variable Viewer is a sampling module - it samples asynchornously from the even you're measuring - depending on the sampling frequency you might get your results slightly off, depending on the ratio of the event frequency and sampling frequency. You can try the recorder module or trace viewer module for more accurate data.
