Bug: No typescript support

Describe the issue

There is no typescript inference and intellisense, upon furthering investigating, I have seen the types are probably not "connected" to the library please fix it soon as possible, as I cannot correctly use the library as there is no intellisense

Also the login and register function is available only in react sdk, for custom page

I'm also facing a similar issue where I would like to use the defined Kinde type for some processing
e.g: import type { KindeRole } from "@kinde-oss/kinde-auth-nextjs/types";

workaround, which I'm not really a fan of is to include the following in tsconfig which I'm not so sure it's best practice.
"typeRoots": ["./node_modules/@types", "./node_modules"]

any more experienced devs know a way around this?

It would be nice if we could just include the types in an install something like
npm install @kinde-oss/kinde-auth-nextjs/types

Hi @BryanAM,

We totally get the frustration here, there has been big piece of work to hugely improve typing here, the basis is seen in the new React SDK, work has started already on bringing the strong typing to this SDK, I wholly agree that the typing has fallen short of expectations here. We have looked to improve the typing in the current version however this would result in many changes some of which could be breaking.

Watch this space, in the meantime I will see if there is something could do in the interim.

Hey - it's been a while, wondering if there are any updates on typing? (it seems largely the same and not ideal when integrating Kinde into a strict typescript environment)

Hi @Overdash,

This is on our roadmap for 3.0. 3.0 is largely a rewrite. We couldn't go all-in on types without a major version bump due to breaking changes.
