Welcome to Systopia

Researching Systems, construed Broadly

The Systopia lab is part of the Department of Computer Science, at the University of British Columbia.

We are a diverse group and are always looking to recruit strong students, post-docs, and new faculty to join us.
We conduct research on a variety of topics, including operating systems, distributed systems, security, and program analysis.
We have a strong track-record in publishing in top systems, networks, and security conferences and journals.

Systopia lab is supported by a number of government and industrial sources, including Oracle, Cisco Systems, Huawei, the Communications Security Establishment Canada, Intel Research, the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC), Network Appliance, Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, and the National Science Foundation (NSF).
