Solving life-and-death problems via "capture this" feature

How do I select multiple pieces to capture, can I only select one piece at a time? When solving life-and-death problems, what level should I set, and what should I select for the starting and target areas?

Right now, only a single stone is supported. You don't need to worry about which rank (profile) to set in "Human-like Analysis" for the feature "if players try to capture/rescue this stone". It doesn't make any difference for this feature. Just selecting the preset "Human-like Analysis" is enough.

But please don't expect much. This feature is very experimental and far from perfect. For life-and-death problems, handling of Ko remains problematic. Ko solutions tend to be selected rather than the intended unconditional solutions because all Ko threats can be ignored in theory except for local ones (Soba-Ko).

It seems you are a version of KataGo that combines two levels, a human level and an AI level. There should exist an integrated maximum strength for solving life-and-death problems. Regarding the display of the tree diagram, it appears to have high hardware requirements. With my GTX 1660 graphics card, I should normally get hundreds of thousands of positions per second under standard search rules, but when generating the tree visualization, the calculation speed drops to just a few dozen positions per second. The speed remains consistently low because it allocates computational resources to increasing search branches.

Additionally, I don't understand why the specific node counts of 200 and 1600 were chosen for these configurations.

This feature is experimental as documented. The current implementation is tentative, so it might be better not to focus too much on the details just yet.
