Simply using code.

What is the expected behavior?

Expected behavior would be something similar to Claude code or the stock codex where as it goes I can cleanly see the window and can scroll up and see past input but now as it goes it'll output something and then I can't scroll up it's like it's in a screen session rather than an actual terminal window.

What do you see instead?

Scrolling up scrolls the entire Coder session, but I can't see past output.

The application does not scroll properly when viewing text, and the text color appears incorrect. This issue affects the user experience by making it difficult to read and navigate the content. The user is on the latest version of the application.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Open the application and navigate to the text view.
2. Attempt to scroll up through the text.
3. Observe that the text does not scroll as expected.
4. Change the theme of the application.
5. Note that the text color remains incorrect and the scrolling issue persists.

Acceptance Criteria

• The text should scroll smoothly when the user attempts to scroll up.
• The text color should match the expected appearance as seen in Claude Code or Codex.
• Changing the theme should not result in any visual discrepancies in text color.

Hey there! Code needs the scroll mapped to the arrow keys to be able to scroll correctly in the terminal. Code use alternative screen mode so that it can display more complex UI elements. Not sure why scroll is not mapped to the arrow keys in your terminal - I'll get that looked into.

In the meantime you can use CTRL+T to switch to terminal mode - that gets it to work a bit more like Claude and keeps the entire history visible in the terminal.

Thank you! Ctrl T is a great workaround in the meantime! This was the same on all my computers too, Mac, Linux and Win, so hope that adds clarity.
