What feature would you like to see?

Before finding Code in search of a UX solution as I'm switching from Claude Code to Codex, I passed through Warp. Warp in their IDE has nailed the voice input UX problem, in my humble opinion. By mapping the right alt key to a voice transcriber you can very conveniently press to talk and interact with the model that way. I've tried several voice to text solutions but never used any of them. If its possible to wire something like this into the CLI, I think it would be brilliant.

I built my own solution for this https://github.com/basnijholt/agent-cli, which allows me to toggle it on a key combo and then process the data locally (optionally via remote cloud too).

Thanks for the suggestion! At the moment the CLI is entirely text-based and doesn’t include any audio or speech-to-text plumbing. Supporting a hotkey that records from the microphone and pipes the transcript into the CLI would require adding cross-platform audio capture plus an STT integration, which is a sizable project and currently outside the scope of the core CLI. We’re going to close this for now to keep the roadmap focused on the existing interaction model, but we appreciate you sharing the idea and will revisit if the direction changes.
