has development stopped?

it seems this project hasnt been updated in a while. is it still being develop? is it because of lack of resources?

Thanks for asking! As far as I know the resource is me! :-) And I only tend to extend my software when a new application or technology comes up... and nothing has grabbed me in the last few years! I have also spent quite a bot of time working with JavaScript - see JSFBP. I believe there are people actually using JavaFBP, but they don't usually contact me. Hope this makes sense!

One extension to JavaFBP I was thinking of a few months ago was what I call Tabula Rasa - a component that can load a piece of component code and run it. However, this conflicts with JavaFBP's annotations, and I'm not sure how to resolve this problem...!

So, if you are aware of any interesting directions that we could collaborate on, I'd love to hear about it/them!

Hi @yterradas - not sure if you saw my answer (exactly 2 years ago - how time flies)! Any feedback you can give me on interesting development ideas...? JavaFBP is now on Maven, and so is JavaFBP-WebSockets. Not sure if JavaFBP was on Maven when you posted your question...

i still think this project has great potential but i have reservations due to low adoption rate. im basing this on the number of stars the project has. i havent looked at in a long time but does it allow for pluggable communication protocols between components? how about backpressure between components beyond 9999 packets (i think i saw the number in the docs)? are there performance numbers somewhere?

• when you talk about pluggable communication protocols, does WebSockets count - if so, I have added a project called JavaFBP-WebSockets to GitHub, which you might find interesting. If not, I'd be interested in what you had in mind...?

• how do you monitor adoption rate? I also would be interested in finding out! Especially as I know that some companies treat their projects as confidential...

• not sure where the 9999 figure came from - back pressure merely means that the sending process gets suspended if the downstream connection is full. The only 9999 figure I can think of is a limit on the capacity of a Mickey Mouse Sort component that I built - I recently increased this to 999999.
