Per-version release notes. The root CHANGELOG.md is a thin pointer — each release lives in its own file under this directory.
Format follows Keep a Changelog; versions follow SemVer. Pre-1.0 convention:

The dashboard's Docs tab → Changelog entry auto-concatenates every file in this directory at build time, so the new release shows up without additional wiring.
