Dear CellChat Team,
First of all, thank you for developing this excellent tool for cell-cell communication analysis.
I am currently working with spatial transcriptomics data that includes 3D coordinates (x, y, and z-axis). I would like to know if the current version of CellChat supports 3D spatial data for inferring spatial communication?
Specifically, when calculating distances between cells/spots, does the algorithm account for the z-coordinate, or is it strictly limited to 2D (x, y) planes? If it is supported, is there a specific format required for the input meta-data to ensure the z-axis is recognized?
Thank you very much for your help!
