Poor long key press transmission

I tried the game via JetKVM (on a local machine nearby). When I press one or two keys simultaneously, the character on the remote machine takes one step and doesn't move any further! Only if I press the key twice and hold it down on the second press does the character move normally. This needs to be fixed.
