Junior dev wanting experience

[kwame-Owusu]

Been using lazygit for a while now and would love to contribute to the codebase, already know Go and want to get more experience in open source and also I love lazygit, have integrated it into my tmux layout and workflows. thanks!

I'm sorry, but we don't accept PRs here any more; see CONTRIBUTING.md.

I might be missing something, on the Lazygit cli it says if someone is interested in being added to the team they can do so by expressing their interest in the discussion section. and I was led here by clicking on the link. Please do correct me if I am wrong.

Yeah, we should probably change that text (it's very old), sorry for misleading you.

That said, there's a difference between "contributing" and "submitting PRs". Non-PR contributions are still very welcome; for example, giving your input to tricky UX discussions, or investigating bugs that are hard to reproduce, or contributing translations on Crowdin. Those are all things that are much appreciated; just not PRs.

Alright, thanks very much for the swift response. It's just a shame not being able to contribute to a tool I use everyday. But thank you nonetheless for making this great tool. And if for whatever reason there is an opportunity for people to contribute again or
the vouch system gets implemented please do not forget about me 😁
