How to sort files by their name instead of their status?

It seems that Lazygit sorts files and puts newly added files to the bottom.

I'm not a fan of this. I'd like them to be sorted by their path/name, and don't take the status into account.

Would it be possible to make this configurable?

Tree view is the default and sorts by path alone so what you see is the flat list toggle

• pkg/gui/filetree/node.go:109 tree comparator compares paths only

Folder vs file interleaving in tree view is gui.fileTreeSortOrder and defaults to mixed which is pure path order

No option exists to drop the status grouping while staying in flat mode
