Describe the solution you'd like
Revise the colour selection to show more constrast between days with entries and days without.

for example below, 14th has an entry and other days doesn't, 21st is selected. 22nd is today's date.

Describe alternatives you've considered
Otherwise will have to click on days one by one to find out.
