🙋♂️ How can we help you?
Environment:
- macOS 26 (Tahoe)
- Vidwall Hub: [your version, e.g. from Mac App Store or About]
- Lock screen wallpaper: custom MP4 (exported from OVITO, 1080p, 30 fps)
What happens:
- I set an MP4 as my lock screen wallpaper via Vidwall Hub. The video plays correctly on the lock screen.
- After I log in and later see the lock screen again (e.g. lock the Mac or wake from sleep), the lock screen often shows a still frame instead of the video playing. Sometimes that still frame is visually corrupted (wrong colors, blocks, artifacts).
- If I reset the wallpaper in Vidwall Hub (re-import the video and set it as lock screen again), the video works again—but the problem returns the next time I see the lock screen (e.g. after logging in and locking again).
So the issue usually appears when the lock screen is shown again after a login/wake, not right after I set the wallpaper. Reduce motion is off; Low Power Mode is off when I test.
Is this a known issue? Is there a recommended workaround or a fix planned? I can provide a screenshot of the corrupted frame or more details if helpful.
the video is failing to restore after I log in
💻 Desktop
macOS 15.0 (Sequoia)
