Simplefin integration?

I came across this project while browsing for a portfolio tracker. Is there any intention in integrating with simplefin bridge at any point for syncing portfolio data?

Funny timing on submitting this. I just installed for the first time last night (tried before but was not successful) as the docker compose does not work with portainer easily for someone that is light on their docker knowledge.

And my first thought was without simplefin or plaid, this is going to require a lot more maintenance than I was hoping.

I definitely second the idea. There is a small fee monthly for simplefin (I think it is like $1.50), but it would up to the user to decide if they want to use it.

I've been digging into this. SimpleFIN seems highly promising but ultimately I'm not willing to compromise on the security aspect. From what I can tell, iIt's effectively scraping bank websites using user credentials. Also, the spec seems very much purpose built for bank accounts (vs. investment accounts).

However, I did not realize Plaid had a "free" tier. I am investigating how this might work in a self-hosted context. This might be the best solution.

This is definitely on the roadmap.

I understand the security concerns, it's not for everyone. My peace of mind comes from the read-only access. I'm looking forward to seeing if you can integrate with plaid.

For me, portfolio syncing is a key component needed in my investment/portfolio tracker whether selfhosted or not.
