[🐛] verifyBeforeUpdateEmail function not sending emails

Issue

await verifyBeforeUpdateEmail(user, trimmedEmail, actionCodeSettings);

verifyBeforeUpdateEmail function call is not sending email to neither of the emails.

Hi there, do you receive any error message in the console? If you are then going onto firebase console > authentication > settings > user actions > disable email enumeration protection.

If you are not receiving an error message, what is going on with 'trimmed email'? The full email address should be put in. If you are editing the email address then its expected it would not send. Would like more information on the issue please, is it related to #8732 ?
