Presses enter on its own

For some reason when i dictate, it will type out the text and press enter which is very annoying because it breaks my workflow and if i am talking to an ai it will send the request and i will have to go back and manually add the remaining text and cancel the request and resend it

Quick follow-up to pin this down: does it happen in every app or only some (chat boxes, browser, a specific editor)? And which OS + VoiceFlow version? Trying to tell whether it's a stray Enter from the paste step vs. a newline coming out of the transcription itself.

Hey! it only happened in some app like OpenCode and Discord to my knowledge. I am trying to use VoiceFlow in more apps so I'll give you more feedback when I can but so far it's been only in those apps. I just upgraded to the latest version, I was on the 1.6 so far so maybe that will fix it

I'm using Arch Linux with Hyprland but I'll try to use the dev command to get some logs if I can so I can circle back to you :)

Thanks @maplepy, that narrows it a lot. OpenCode and Discord both send on Enter, so the symptom would show up there first even if it happens everywhere.

Main suspect: on Linux the paste step doesn't use Ctrl+V by default, it types the text through wtype/dotool/ydotool. Could you run which wtype dotool ydotool and tell me which ones you have? dotool takes line-based commands, so it's the most likely one to emit a stray Enter.

Logs from pnpm run dev at the moment it fires would confirm it, there's a [clipboard] line saying which tool it picked. And do let me know if 1.6.2 changed anything for you.

Same setup here (Arch + Hyprland), so I should be able to reproduce it once I know which tool you're on. Appreciate you circling back.
