Roadmap for releases

Is there a roadmap or release date for all the commits/PR's merged since August 2 to be bumped into a new release?

Could you or Jonathan share a roadmap with us?

We don't really have a public roadmap, but it would be worth considering to set up a generic one that doesn't include dates (unless communicated) but includes features/goals.

The primary reason for not having this in the past is that we ourselves for a long time weren't able to dedicate/guarantee an x amount of time each week/month to Inertia, so we more or less brought waves of updates and releases at once, followed by periods of no activity. This has recently changed, with me now working on Inertia 2-days a week every week.

As for all the commits merged since August 2, I'll make sure to include this as part of our next update. While not a lot per definition has 'changed' there are some nice improvements/rare bugfixes that a few people will definitely appreciate.

Hey all,

We've discussed this further internally, and have decided not to implement a public roadmap for now.

We understand that it might be nice for everyone to know what we're planning to work on, but an unfortunate downside of doing so is that it also entirely eliminates any flexibility we have, as our decisions/way forward would be locked in from the start, even if our vision for Inertia changes. Of course, we could at that point adjust the roadmap and the things that are on it themselves, but that brings to other problems with it, such as the people who got excited for those features becoming disappointed.

Instead, what we've done, is made our projects view public, which (while not a roadmap) should hopefully give you a bit better insights of where things are / what we are working on in the short term: https://github.com/orgs/inertiajs/projects/1/views/1
