Don't use SBUS. WIth INAV 8 you can control the gimbal as a Serial Gimbal. Set the port as Serial Gimbal and assign what chanels control what gimbal axis and use modes in the modes tab to switch between stabilization types and locking the gimbal. Serial control via inav is more flexible and will work with any fc. SBUS is an inverted protocol that only works with F7 and H7 fcs, unless you have extra hardware to invert the uart signal. |

I wanted to try my GM3 gimbal to control with SBUS option (manual says it is doable). I just want to know how to properly wire and set up INAV?
So far in PORTS tab I selected one of UARTS as SBUS option but no matter if I connect the TX or RX to my gimbal I get no data coming.
It works in Ardupilot with mavlink passthrough.
So I was wondering what did I miss? Or maybe that SBUS is something completely different and it doesn't just send PWM / servo data on that line?
