There's dupe autoresolution in the works, and I want to add my two cents that it'd benefit from detecting when an image is blurry and larger than the other. While it's not an extremely common situation, I sometimes run into dupes that are a badly upscaled version of the original image, either because the person doing it didn't know better or because they wanted it to fit to some jankass aspect ratio. If detecting when the larger image is blurry is programatically simple it'd be a good test to have.
