Right now there is no way to separate mesh renderer on UMA generation with the UMA 53 branch.
This feature will be usefull to set different renderer parameters for some part of the character (layers, materials, shadows, enable true/false...).
The cloth branch implemented a renderer separation by UMAMaterial but it only work per slot so it's pretty difficult to use. (see: Link)
