Actionable Notifications

It would be nice if there was a default action associated with just tapping a notification. Oftentimes people in my household will just tap on an actionable notification and it opens up the app instead of doing anything useful.

Can a default action be implemented? Not sure if iOS allows this, but alternately it would be nice if tapping on the notification would display the actions.

Showing the list of actions when tapping on the notification is something I intend to implement, but haven't had an opportunity to finish yet. Something like:

The url key is what I need to use to define a default action, but I do not see an example on how to fire an event for a specific action. The docs show the below:

I do not see anything in the documentation for actionable notifications to tell me what to use for the url. I tried various things but could not fire an event. Am I missing something? Can you provide an example url key that will fire an action event?

That was what I was thinking too, but the webhook must be HTTP POST. If I just use the url for the webhook it is a GET request and doesn’t work. Am I missing something? I haven’t used webhooks before.

the documentation on possible values for URI: could do with some examples like

• external URIs
• /dashboard-foo/bar URIs
• running a script or activating a scene from from an anctionable notification
• URIs that use parameters or template values - if this is even possible??

I would also like this feature to be implemented - an additional event which fires from a notification simply being tapped.

My use case is currently unsupported by the app. I would like the user to be able to tap the notification and be taken to a URL. Once the notification has been tapped, I would like a service to be called from within Home Assistant.

I've thought about using App Events, but this will not sufficiently allow me to detect a user tapping on the notification, and can be triggered by simply opening the app.
