Checklist

  • I have updated to the latest available Home Assistant version.

  • I have tried a different browser to see if it is related to my browser.
  • I have tried reproducing the issue in safe mode to rule out problems with unsupported custom resources.

Describe the issue you are experiencing

When searching devices in Quick Bar, the very top is showing blank entries for devices with no name:

In my case it was from the Withings integration which brings it in this way. And I don't know if the device belongs to my bathroom scale or blood pressure monitor or other device so I haven't fixed the name yet. But as you can see in the below screenshot though, the device page handles this with fallback text that says "Unnamed device" :

... while that is lacking from the quick bar which just shows a blank spot. It should have the same behavior and say "Unnamed device" in the quick bar.

Describe the behavior you expected

Don't show blank spaces in device quick bar

Steps to reproduce the issue

  1. Type d key to bring up devices quick bar search
  2. If there is an unnamed device it will show up blank
