Support for Xe/Lua?

I wonder whether, following the soulutf8 merger, it is feasible to also integrate approaches that allow to use soul with XeTeX or LuaTeX, i.e., the approach the xesoul provides (or something more clever that does not require to adapt the \SOUL@tt font), and maybe lua-ul for LuaTeX, which probably just could be loaded with the soul option \ifluatex.

Loading bidihl to fix \hl for RTL typesetting in XeTeX would be nice as well (need to check if bidi is loaded for that).

It also worth mentioning that soul does not really work in RTL typesetting with LuaTeX. Loading lua-ul with the soul option should fix that.
