When emulating a Japanese Mega-CD on higan:

  • The Mega-CD logo does not move.
  • No music is played from the Ricoh sound chip.

Just to make sure someone responds here, FYI, the Mega CD support is considered to be some of the weakest in the entire emulator, for now. So this is probably not too surprising. (But still a valid bug nonetheless, just pointing that out in case it is not well-known.)
