I realize : has a long legacy from Vim as the enter command mode key but having such a common key-press requiring a modifier key (shift) has always been a source of annoyance for me. I consistently enter shifted commands to the point where I have :W, :Q, :E and other common single-character commands mapped (in nvim) to their lower case equivalents and was planning on doing this with Helix once custom commands were supported.
I'm not 100% on what I'd change it to (trying ; now), but I was just curious how committed Helix is to the : binding given it breaking with many other vim-isms.
