What outcome were you hoping for?

Expected a hackrf_usb.bin but hackrf_usb_dfu.bin. Attempted to install dfu_bin(since that's what was produced)

What outcome actually happened?

Attempted to install dfu_bin(since that's what was produced)but resulted in compatability test failed. Is this supposed to result in Hackrf_Pro.bin? Could not find appropriate platform for board id 5 (unknown). Apprehensive about using -i flag.

Dragon OS/Debian 13 Trixie for Raspberry Pi 5.

It looks like you do have the hackrf_usb.bin present in your first screenshot, though I'd recommend just using the firmware image from the release to begin with.

The Could not find appropriate platform for board id 5 (unknown) error is caused by the host tools being out of date, so if you build and install those from source that error should go away and you won't need to use the -i flag. Make sure to also remove the host tools & libhackrf installed from apt so they don't interfere.
